WELCOME TO TEXEL!
We are Eva and Arwin Touw. We have been fans of Texel for over 15 years and moved to Texel in 2018. Together with our three sons Merlijn, Valentijn and Floris and our two cats Dibbes and Joris we took the step from the city of The Hague to the beautiful island of Texel. In the meantime the animal world has expanded to include four rabbits and our two Labrador dogs Skipper and van Speijk.
SPACE AND TRANQUILLITY COME INTO PLAY HERE
After years of searching we found this hidden beauty spot on the island. On the adjoining property there are often many sheep, which we jokingly call neighbours. It is a place where the space and tranquillity of the island is shown to advantage, but still the convenience of being close to the ferry and bus.
A FANTASTIC PLACE
After an extensive renovation, we have converted the former farmhouse into a country house with all the comforts of today. A fantastic place with the Hors nature reserve, part of the Texel Dunes National Park, just a stone's throw away. This is a place we like to visit very much and often. It is the roughest area of Texel. On the other side, also just a stone's throw away, the Prins Hendrik Zanddijk and of course beach and sea nearby. It is a beautiful place with lots of space where you can relax.
Because of the location at the mouth of the Wadden Sea and the North Sea and near the roadstead of Texel, we have named the guest houses after Dutch naval heroes of the past.
